We collect as little as a working journal can. This page describes what we hold today; it is updated whenever that changes.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist or (later) create an account. It is used to send you what you asked for: the free piece, the launch announcement, magic-link sign-ins, and receipts.
- Visit statistics via Vercel Web Analytics — page views and referrers, reported to us only in aggregate. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device; to count a visitor once per day it derives a temporary identifier on the server from your IP address and browser, which is discarded daily and never used to identify you by name. There is no advertising and no cross-site tracking here.
- Payment records, once subscriptions open, held by Stripe. Card details never touch our servers.
Who processes it
Email is delivered by Resend; hosting and analytics run on Vercel; payments (when live) run on Stripe. Each processes data only on our instructions. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else, full stop.
How long we keep it
Waitlist addresses are kept until launch and then folded into the announcement list, which you can leave with one click — every broadcast carries an unsubscribe link. Account and billing records are kept for as long as you have an account, plus whatever tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you. One email to editor@sapienjournal.com does it.
