Everything published in Sapien, on the site, in the PDF and in the printed copy, is protected by copyright. Each piece belongs to the person who wrote it and is published by Sapien with their permission. The name Sapien, the mark, the design and the photographs belong to Sapien. Sapien is published by Rado Sheytanoff and Chris Michael.

What you may do

Read and study what you have access to. Perform the effects and routines you learn here, for any audience, paid or not. Quote a short passage in a review or a discussion, with the author’s name and Sapien as the source. Link to any page.

What you may not do

Do not copy, post, sell or share articles, methods, scripts, the PDF or the printed pages, in whole or in large part. That includes private groups, forums, chat channels, file sharing and paid products. Do not teach or sell a method from Sapien as a product of your own. Do not copy the site with scripts or other automated tools, or use what is published here to train software.

If you want to use something in a way not covered here, write to editor@sapienjournal.com and ask.

If you think we have used your work

Write to editor@sapienjournal.com. Please include your name, postal address, email and phone number, the work you own, and where we published the part you object to (the issue, the page or the web address). Add a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by you, your agent or the law, and a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are allowed to act for the owner. Sign it. Typing your full name at the end of the email is enough.

We will reply within 14 days, and sooner where we can. If you are right, we will take the material down or fix the credit.

If you find Sapien material elsewhere

If you see Sapien material posted or sold somewhere it should not be, please send us the link at editor@sapienjournal.com. We do not need your name to act on it.
